Job Placement Assistance From your first contact with our friendly, knowledgeable staff and throughout your training program our goal is to help you succeed in completing your training, obtaining your CDL, and securing gainful employment.  Employment, however is not guaranteed.  In Pennsylvania, the trucking industry is the fourth largest employer with over 400,000 employees involved with the trucking industry in a variety of capacities as reported by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association. The need for truck drivers is acute as reported by Global Insight in USA Today who noted that in 2005, the trucking industry was short 20,000 drivers and forecast that the gap could reach 111,000 in 2015. Recruiters from National, Regional, and local companies may be scheduled to present information to students about available employment opportunities.  In addition, we make available to all students applications for employment from approximately thirty carriers.  We also maintain a database listing of all companies who have hired our graduates, which is available to our students upon graduation.  It is the students’ responsibility to file applications, conduct follow-up calls, interviews, and ultimately secure employment.
