Pocono Commencement Information (May 20)

Rehearsal & Refreshments

Rehearsal will be held at 5:30 pm on Monday, May 19, 2025, in the Pocono Hall Gymnasium (Pocono Campus).

 

We strongly encourage all graduates participating in the Commencement Ceremony to attend the rehearsal.

 

Upon arrival, please visit the check-in table in Pocono 108 to pick up your reader card.

 

Complimentary refreshments to honor our graduates will start at 5:30 pm in the Food Court.

 

Caps & Gowns

Pick up caps and gowns at the Pocono Campus Bookstore on the following days and times:

  • Wednesday, May 14, 2025, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Thursday, May 15, 2025, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Monday, May 19, 2025, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm (Rehearsal is at 5:30 pm)
  • Tuesday, May 20, 2025, 2:00 am – 5:00 pm (Commencement begins at 6:30 pm)

Gowns are packaged and may be creased – pick up early to allow time for hanging or steaming.

 

The cap and gown are yours as a keepsake of this milestone.

 

Tickets

You will receive six tickets for your family and friends to attend the ceremony when you pick up your cap and gown.

  • Your guests (anyone three years old or older) must have a ticket to enter the Pocono Gymnasium.
  • Please notify your guests that the procession starts at 6:15 and the doors of the gym will close at that time.
  • For non-ticket holders, the ceremony will be streamed live in Pocono Hall 108
  • Family members not able to attend the Commencement may visit the 2025 Commencement section of Northampton's website at https://www.northampton.edu/about/commencement/.
  • The live feed video will begin 30 minutes before the ceremony and continue through the ceremony.

 

Schedule for the evening of Tuesday, May 20 (Graduation Ceremony):

  • 5:30 pm Graduates should arrive to robe in Pocono Hall Room 108
  • 6:00 pm, the Line of March forms
  • 6:15 pm, the Processional begins
  • 6:30 pm Commencement Ceremony begins. (The ceremony runs approximately 2 hours.)

Diplomas

Your diploma will be mailed to the address on record in Workday following the end of the spring semester.

 

Diplomas should arrive by the middle of June. An email with a link to download your e-diploma through Parchment.com will also be sent to your student email starting on May 23rd.

 

Photos

Every graduate will be photographed 2-3 times as they are recognized across the stage and return to their seat.

 

To ensure you receive your free commencement day proofs quickly and accurately, you must complete this Selfie Check-in! Pocono Campus by clicking the link before your ceremony date!

 

There is no obligation to purchase, and packages start at only $7.95!

 

You may add family and friends to receive your proofs as well.

 

Reception

A reception for graduates, their families, and friends will be held following the ceremony in the Pocono Food Court.

Bethlehem Commencement Information (May 22)

Rehearsal & Breakfast

Rehearsal will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 22 in the Student Life Zone (Bethlehem Campus). We strongly encourage all graduates participating in the Commencement Ceremony to attend rehearsal. Upon arrival, please visit the check-in table to pick-up your reader card.

 

A complimentary breakfast to honor our graduates will start at 9:00 am in the Food Court.

 

Caps & Gowns

Caps and gowns will be available for pick up at the Bookstore at the Bethlehem Campus beginning Monday, May 19 through Wednesday, May 21 from 9am to 5pm and Thursday, May 22 from 9am to 6pm.

 

Please be advised the gowns are packaged and the fabric will crease. We recommend pick-up in advance of the ceremony to allow time to a hang or steam the garment.

 

The cap and gown are yours as a keepsake of this milestone.

Family members not able to attend, the Commencement may visit the 2025 Commencement section of Northampton's web site. The live feed video will begin 30 minutes prior to the ceremony and continue through the ceremony.

Reception

A reception for graduates and their families and friends will be held immediately following the ceremony in the outside quad area between the College Center and Kopecek Hall. In the event of rain, the reception will be held in Laub Lounge, second floor of College Center.
