Cops 'n' Kids Lehigh Valley

Community

The vision of the organization is to demonstrate to our children the commitment of our community by organizing memorable literacy events throughout the Lehigh Valley. These events present an opportunity to interact with and read to the children; for the children, they present an opportunity to take home a book of their very own while interacting with members of the community; for the community, they present an opportunity to enrich the lives of our children.

Reading Room

To spread the joy of learning and reading, new or gently used books may be donated to Cops ‘n’ Kids. In many cases, these books are the first that the children have to keep as their own. The Cops ‘n’ Kids Reading Room, in partnership with Northampton Community College, provides a place for children and families to read together, share stories, and select free books to take home. Police officers, high school and college students, community volunteers, and various community organizations are part of the programs that take place in the Reading Room.
