Lehigh Valley Safety Committee

Lehigh Valley Safety CommitteeIn October 2005, an alliance was formed with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) to foster safer and more healthful Lehigh Valley workplaces. This alliance formed the basis of the Lehigh Valley Safety Committee (LVSC), a safety and health collaboration between private employers, non-profit organizations, healthcare, academia and government.

In 2021, the Lehigh Valley Safety Committee was elevated to Ambassador status. By raising the LVSC’s status, OSHA is recognizing the consortium’s success in building and maintaining a productive cooperative relationship with the agency. As an Alliance Program Ambassador, the LVSC will continue to share relevant health and safety information with its membership and facilitate understanding of workers’ rights and employers’ responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

Through monthly presentations, quarterly events and annual expos, the LVSC provides health and safety education. All events are free and all industries and individuals are welcome to attend events and participate on the committee.
