Professional Staff: Assistant Directors

The Assistant Directors work in the main Housing & Residence Life Office, located on the second floor of the College Center, Suite 200. Both Assistant Directors oversee various aspects of the housing and residence life program at NCC and serve as professional 24/7 on-call staff members for the Resident Director staff. Both Assistant Directors report to the Associate Dean of Student Life.

Professional Staff: Resident Directors (RDs)

The Resident Directors are professional staff members who live and work within the Residence Hall Commons. They are both full-time staff members who oversee the training, development, and supervision of the student staff who live and work in the buildings. In addition to overseeing the student staff, the RDs meet with students regularly and work to address any issues happening in housing. The RDs participate in an on-call rotation 24-hours a day, seven nights a week, to address any emergencies or major issues.

  • Oversees the 1100's, 1200's, 2100's & 2200's in the Residence Hall Commons

Student Staff: Resident Assistants (RAs) & Senior Resident Assistants (SRAs)

Throughout the residence hall and apartments there are eight Resident Assistants (RAs) assigned to each floor/wing and two Senior Resident Assistants (SRAs). These student staff members are leaders who have been selected from their peers to help plan events, maintain order on their floor/wing, and act as a resource for the community. RAs and SRAs are trained in roommate mediation, addressing difficult situations, and event planning. RAs and SRAs participate in an on-call rotation 24-hours a day, seven nights a week during the academic year to address any issues or concerns after normal business hours.

Student Staff: Community Assistants (CAs)

Student Staff: Desk Assistants (DAs)

Desk Assistants (DAs) work the front desk of the Residence Hall Commons. DAs help to answer questions, monitor those entering or exiting the building, and provide additional support to all residents. This is a federally funded work-study position through financial aid. We're always looking for students to join the DA staff so if you're eligible for work-study, make sure to apply!
