Carlos Vasquez, originally from Ecuador, completed his medical degree in his home country in 2012. Upon coming to the United States, he enrolled in Northampton Community College's Biotechnology Program on Monroe Campus. "Back in Ecuador, we didn't have these types of facilities. So, it's great to interact with DNA and use the techniques we learn in the lab." Vasquez believes that everything he's learning will weave into his medical background and help him go further in his career.
"If someone really loves science, and they are thinking about Biotechnology, I think this is a great option," advises Vasquez.
