NCC Course Formats

Northampton Community College offers course formats to fit your life, allowing you to select the best options for you. Formats range from on-site, online and hybrid, a combination of both. Some online courses meet at a scheduled time, while others are self-paced with weekly milestones. On-Site Courses

Description

On-site (in-person) classes are held at a campus location. Homework (coursework outside of class) assigned and required.

All in-person and on NCC's campuses

Online Courses

Online Courses

Description

Online classes are virtual and self-paced with weekly milestones.

All online

Remote Courses

Remote Courses

Description

Remote classes meet online in real-time on a set schedule. Coursework (outside of "real time" sessions) assigned and required.

Location

All online; Remote meets online in real time for the same amount of time as on-site classes.

Online Blended Courses

Online Blended Courses

Description

Online blended classes contain a mix of online and remote classes.

Location

All classes are online; Online Blended meets 1/2 as much time in "real time" as Remote classes.
