Ready to start your career in a high-demand, rapidly growing industry? Northampton Community College’s Data Science or Information Security program will prepare you for a variety of entry-level technological and data-focused roles or set you up to transfer to a 4-year university.
Information Security Program
Join the growing cybersecurity field with an associate in applied science (AAS) degree in Information Security from Northampton Community College (NCC). This two-year program offers maximum flexibility, allowing you to learn in person at our Bethlehem, PA campus or in a hybrid, partially online course of study.
In this program, you will gain critical hands-on experience protecting and defending computer systems and networks. Our lab-based courses in topics like LANs, Linux, cybersecurity administration, and ethical hacking prepare you for industry certifications in SEC+, CySA+, CISSP, and CEH.
You will plan, implement and monitor networking and security systems, as well as identify, analyze, and remediate computer security breaches.
Data Science Programs
Lay the groundwork for broad career opportunities with NCC’s Data Science programs. Offered on our Bethlehem, PA campus, these programs prepare you to support and expand businesses of all kinds with in-demand data analytics skills. Choose between two powerful programs: our two-year associate in science (AS) degree, or our 3-semester specialized diploma (SD).
Both programs prepare you for a highly technical career with a foundational understanding of communication, information technology, data science, and statistics. These skills equip you to collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and evaluate data to improve business processes and decision-making.
You will examine the data science lifecycle, explore design principles and establish methodologies for interactively visualizing and communicating data.
