Precision Machining Training Program @NCC

Precision Machining Training is an 8-week hands-on program that provides students with the skills needed to fill high-demand machining positions for Lehigh Valley and Pocono businesses. Participants will gain foundational skills in manufacturing including safety; reading blue prints; shop math; measurement and the use of calipers and Vernier scales; and operating lathes and milling machines. An introduction to CNC (computer numerical control) machining is also covered. Instruction will focus on preparing students to sit for specified National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications. Occupational skill building and workplace employability skills are also included in the curriculum. This program is funded by the PA Department of Community & Economic Development and is free to qualified participants.
