Class of 2020: Kelsey Miller

In NCC, Kelsey Miller found the combination she sought: a highly ranked school, the closest community college that had her major and a program in sports, which she loves.

In addition, the Phillipsburg, New Jersey resident chose NCC “because I knew the environment was like no other.  It is really one big family, and everyone makes you feel so welcome.   I also chose NCC because of athletics; I was a member of the Women’s Volleyball Team, the Women’s Basketball Team and the Softball Team.”

An accounting major, Miller plans to transfer to DeSales University for bachelor’s and master’s degrees and to become a CPA.

She advises students to have a good work ethic and value class time.  She praises the faculty  in her program:  “I would highly recommend the faculty in my program,” she says.  “My professors have been there throughout my whole journey and have taught me so much.  Being at NCC has allowed me to be more outgoing and make new friends.  I met amazing people at NCC.”

In addition to athletics, Miller participated in the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and the National Society for Leadership and Success.

“Being at such a supportive school has made me feel that I have had the best college experience,” Miller says.
