The St. Luke's IT Credentialed Training team is responsible for providing required software functionality education to all clinical, or otherwise appropriate, network staff. Particular emphasis is placed on the content surrounding our Electronic Medical Record platform, Epic. Due to the highly complex nature of Epic's applications, and the incredibly sensitive patient data stored within, no employee can gain access to the Epic environments without attending our classroom training and successfully passing a written assessment. The IT Training Team also provides "at-the-elbow" support directly in the hospital or outpatient locations, assisting physicians and clinical staff with their relevant workflows in real time as they care for patients. Students shadowing our team will be paired with a Credentialed Trainer, have the opportunity to observe classroom sessions, attend 1:1 clinical support appointments, and listen in on the Clinical Service Desk staff providing Epic education and troubleshooting services on-demand over the phone. The Credentialed Trainer role requires the ability to understand complex medical and software processes, comfort with public speaking to both large and small groups, and exceptional customer service skills.
