Earl J. Ihrie ’69

After graduating from NCC, Earl earned a bachelor's degree in biology from CaliforniaUniversity of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in microbiology and immunology from Rutgers University. From 1981 to 2008, Earl held various positions with Merck Research Laboratories and Merial Limited, a Merck and Sanofi-Aventis company. His career accomplishments include working on the teams that developed Heartgard® and Frontline® for dogs and cats, Timoptic® which treats glaucoma and Mectizan® which treats AfricanRiver Blindness in humans. In his spare time, Earl is an Armature Race Car Driver.
