The Business Management curriculum provides students with an inclusive background of methods and techniques that can be applied in many different types of business environments. These include marketing, finance, operations, human resources and law. Students learn through a combination of management principles, concepts and organizational operations. This, along with chosen electives throughout the program, helps students easily plan their degree to fit their personal goals.
If you're ready to get started, Northampton's Business Management program will prepare you for a career in business, government or non-profit organizations. This program is designed for those looking to enter the business world upon graduation rather than transferring to a four-year institution. Our program emphasizes the practical applications of business studies. (For those interested in pursuing a four-year degree, we recommend our Business Administration degree.) The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Graduates with an associate's degree in Business Management will be able to obtain an entry-level management position within the business industry. They may look in retail, industry, healthcare, research and development for management positions. Office manager and administrative assistant are other types of positions a person will qualify for with a business management degree. All of the jobs a person will be eligible for are entry-level positions and business management majors looking to progress further in the industry are encouraged to look into a transfer program that NCC has set up with a four-year institution.
