As a result, automotive technology is one of NCC's most popular career training programs. We teach a high level of technical understanding of the current developments in the automotive service field, and all ASE certified automotive service areas are covered in the program, including electronics, drivetrains and engine management systems. We've also partnered with several manufacturers to offer courses based on best practices for repair and maintenance, with a focus on advanced technology.

This one year certificate program will provide you with the basic knowledge of automotive systems and the skills necessary to interact effectively with the customer. There is always a demand for skilled service consultants in automotive dealerships and the aftermarket repair industry.
ASE certified technicians (A1 - A8 + L1) now have a convenient and faster option for earning an associate's degree. Northampton's Automotive Technology Online program is designed for Master ASE technicians looking to advance or change their careers. If you have the qualifications, you can receive 44 credits toward your degree from your ASE certifications. The remaining 24 credits may be taken through Northampton's Online Learning division.
NCC also offers Career Training Certificates for those interested in Automotive Technology including AUTNC100 - Enhanced Emission Inspection (EEIC) and AUTNC 200 - Inspection Mechanic Training. For more information about these courses, click here.

In addition, the Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP) in partnership with General Motors, the MoparCap (MCAP) program in partnership with Fiat/Chrysler Automobiles and Subaru University (SU) in partnership with Subaru of America are highlighted as manufacturer partners. In cooperation with their related repair facilities, the programs at NCC focus on classroom and laboratory work at the College as well as supervised work experience at sponsoring associated dealerships leading to an AAS degree. Likewise, the global program culminating in an AAS degree, is available to students who wish to be employed in other professional automotive repair facilities.

Workers in this field may also choose to specialize in specific automotive areas such as drivetrains, fuel injection/engine management, electronics or hybrid vehicles.
