The winning three schools will receive a trophy, tools and other items. All the teams will receive a gift bag with sway and a ticket and chance for a door prize. (No one goes home empty) Speaking of going home the winning school will accept the donation of our 2015 Chevrolet convertible. Tools etc. from partners like Dorman Products, Milwaukee tools, Mac Tools, Matco Tools, Advance Auto Easton Road and NCC.
The students will arrive starting at 11am. The competition kicks off at 1pm with 6 areas of automotive challenge. Brakes, State Inspection, Fault Code Diagnosis, Electrical measurement / testing (proper knowledge and use of a Multimeter), Engine No-Fault diagnosis and Engine mechanical challenge.
With a time of 20 minutes max for each station the competition will conclude approximately at 3:30 with awards to follow at 4pm.
These top qualifiers from area CTE (Career Technical Institutes) will be focused on identifying concerns, finding the cause and performing the corrective action while showing their skills and having fun using diagnostic strategy.
