Kirsten Kurtz, Assistant Director of the Cornell Soil Health Lab at Cornell University
In her presentation on Saturday 4/25, Kurtz will be providing an overview of soil science as it relates to soil health management in agricultural systems. Kurtz will cover issues related to historical soil degradation in the United States as well as share soil preservation and remediation methods. In addition to exploring the scientific side of soil, she will discuss soil’s role in art and how she employees soil painting as a communication tool.
