Auditions for MEAN GIRLS and FARM: A MUSICAL EXPERIENCE!

Auditions will consist of the musical cuts below as well as a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue of your choosing. There will also be sides given at the audition for FARM: A MUSICAL EXPERIENCE!

*Intimacy/Consent Awareness - actors will be dancing with each other and some touching will be required of the characters. In MEAN GIRLS, 3 characters (Regina, Cady, Aaron) will be kissing, and the band geeks will have some heavy touching.

MEAN GIRLS Vocal Audition Cuts

Please prepare each of the following vocal cuts for the roles in which you are auditioning. If you would like to be considered for multiple roles, prepare all songs associated with all roles for which you wish to be considered. We may or may not request to hear more than one selection, but please be prepared in case we would like to hear more. The vocal cuts do not need to be memorized.

Rehearsals for MEAN GIRLS will generally be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 6:30-10:00 PM, and Saturdays 12-5 PM. There will be a tech day from 10 AM-10 PM on October 18, with dress rehearsals from 5:30-11 PM on October 19-21. Performances will be October 22-24, call time at 5:30, performance at 7:30, and Sunday, October 25, call time 12:30 PM, performance at 2 PM.

FARM: A MUSICAL EXPERIENCE - This is a Theatre for Young Audience production! It is silly and big and fun! Be prepared to do a cold reading of a scene from the show with big bold energy (you might be a pig, a cow, or a farmer!) Have so much fun! For music auditions for Farm, we will use your song from Mean Girls.

Rehearsals for Farm will start the week of October 5th. Rehearsals will be 3-4 times a week (no rehearsals on Mondays or Thursdays). Performances for FARM are November 19-23. This show is also going to be entered in the American College Theater Festival. If it is chosen, it will also have one or two performances at the Regional Conference in Albany, NY, January 12-16, 2027.
