Women's History Month

Throughout the month of March, NCC is holding events and more to celebrate and honor all those who identify as a woman and the powerful contributions women have made to history.

The NCC Women’s Club and Student Life and Leadership Development at Bethlehem campus kicked off the celebration with a movie marathon, with showings of Joy, On the Basis of Sex, and Kissing Jessica Stein on March 1.

Students, faculty and staff are asked to fill out POWerful woman forms or complete artwork honoring a woman in their lives who have had an influence on them. The forms and art supplies are available in the Student Life Office on Bethlehem campus. Artwork and the forms will be displayed in Laub Lounge on Bethlehem campus for all to see until the end of March.

In both Monroe and Bethlehem campus libraries, books will be on display based on the theme: Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories. The books chosen for this display are about women who were active in media and storytelling. You will find books about artists, journalists, advocates, and writers in the display. Check out the display, and add one of the books to your reading list!

Each Friday in March, the Bethlehem Campus Women’s Club will be featuring various women throughout history who have made contributions to society on their Instagram account

Celebrate International Women’s Day and support the Monroe campus Women’s Club. On March 16, candles and other goodies will be for sale in the KAPP Hall Lobby from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Please check the NCC events calendar throughout March for any new events that might be added to celebrate Women’s History Month.
