On September 8, Northampton Community College (NCC) and Delaware Valley University (DelVal) signed new articulation agreements that will facilitate students in continuing their education, the Dual Admission & Core to Core and the Honors to Honors Transfer Agreements.
With Dual Admission, students from NCC who complete an Associate of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) are guaranteed admission. Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) students are guaranteed admission if they complete the mandatory general education courses required by DelVal. Core to Core states that DelVal will accept completion of the NCC general education core requirements as meeting the general education requirements at DeVal.
The application fee will be waived for students who transfer using the Dual Admission & Core to Core Agreement. The students must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA.
With Honors to Honors, students will be entitled to the guarantees in the Dual Admissions & Core to Core Agreement. Students who successfully graduate from NCC and complete all requirements of their program with a 3.0 or higher GPA shall be eligible for the benefits of the Honors to Honors Transfer Agreement. Once admitted to DelVal, students are expected to maintain a 3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average to remain in good standing in the Honors Program.
