Golf and Cross Country Coming to NCC Athletics

Northampton Community College (NCC) Athletics will be adding Men's and Women's Golf and Men's and Women's Cross Country to their intercollegiate offerings for 2026-27.

Men's and Women's Cross Country will begin competition in the Fall of 2026 under the direction of Head Coach, Michael Badway, who feels NCC has all the pieces to become a championship-level program in the NJCAA.

"We are extremely excited to bring golf and cross country back to our athletic program," stated NCC Director of Athletics, Troy Tucker. "After extensive review and deliberation, we felt that the time was right to add these four teams to our current nine offerings.”

Men's and Women's Golf will debut in the Spring of 2027 under the tutelage of Head Coach, Brennan McCarthy. The program will be the only 2-year option in Eastern Pennsylvania. McCarthy feels there’s potential to compete at a high level and provide the student-athletes with a first-class experience.
