Northampton Community College (NCC) has been named a 2026–2027 Military Friendly® School, earning Silver status in the Large Community College category. NCC was also designated a 2026–2027 Military Spouse Friendly® School.
The Military Friendly® Schools designation recognizes colleges and universities for their efforts to create meaningful education paths for members of the military community. Institutions are evaluated using public data and responses from the annual Military Friendly® Schools survey, which examines areas including student retention, graduation and career outcomes, academic policies and support, admissions, and financial aid.
At NCC, Military-Affiliated Student Services provides support and helps coordinate services and resources for veterans, active-duty service members, military spouses, and other military-affiliated students as they begin or continue their education.
“Our military community is a family, united by service, purpose and a shared commitment to helping one another succeed,” said Alexis Sullivan, director of One-Stop and Military-Affiliated Student Services. “This recognition reflects the heart behind our work and our mission to ensure every military-affiliated student feels seen, valued, and supported. We are proud to lead the charge in creating a place where students and their families belong, where their service is honored, and where they have a team standing beside them as they build their future.”
