Bethlehem Family Day 2025
Mark your calendars! Family Day 2025 will take place on Saturday, September 27, from 10:00AM to 2:00PM (depending on various scheduled activities) at NCC’s Bethlehem Campus. Students are encouraged to invite their friends and families for a day of fun and activities. Please check below for the tentative schedule and parking information.
Bethlehem Campus Events
Spartan 5K Run/Walk
Registration is required for this specific event
Saturday, September 27, 2025 - 10:00AM
Where: Outside Penn and Commonwealth Hall
Students and their families are encouraged to sign up for the 11th Annual Spartan 5K Run/Walk. The course starts and finishes on NCC’s Bethlehem campus. Point to point, the course is mostly flat and fast, on paved roads between Northampton Community College and through the local neighborhood. A post-race raffle, music, and refreshments will be available. Strollers and pets are welcome behind the runners (pets must be leashed). Walks will begin behind the runners and will not be timed.

Spartan Activity Zone
Saturday, September 27, 2025 - 10:00AM to 2:00PM
Where: The Quad (between College Center and Kopecek Hall)
Rain Location: Spartan Center Gym C
Something for everyone! No sign-up required! Join us for a variety of activities that will be fun for the whole family. You can look forward to free food, music, and tons of activities to keep everyone entertained. Student Clubs and organizations as well as campus departments are hosting numerous activities including rock painting, coloring activities, Plinko with prizes, free oral cancer screenings, a cup stacking competition, and yes, even a dunk tank.
There will also be a moon bounce, face painter, and a vendor who does fairy hair!

Creative Corner, Presented by the Reibman Children’s Center
Time: 10:00AM - 12:00PM
Where: The Quad (between College Center and Kopecek Hall)
Rain Location: Spartan Center Gym C
During the Spartan Activity Zone, there will be an area that will provide 4 fun activities organized by the Reibman Child Care Center staff from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Students and their families can join in on activities such as making goop, arm painting, and more!
Learn to Salsa: Free Dance Class, Presented by Community Education
Time: 10:00AM-10:45AM
Where: College Center 164, Dance Studio

Get ready to move, groove, and feel the rhythm! Join us for a high-energy Salsa Dance Class that is perfect for all ages and skill levels. This fun and interactive session will have the whole family dancing together in no time. Led by a lively instructor, you’ll learn basic salsa steps and enjoy upbeat Latin music and share some laughs along the way. This event is brought you in collaboration with Community Education and our partners at the Fowler Campus.

Where: Student Life Zone (regardless of weather)
After visiting the Spartan Activity Zone or participating in the Spartan 5k Run/Walk come relax in the Student Life Zone and catch a screening of Inside Out 2 and Lilo & Stitch. Free popcorn anyone?
Baseball Home Game: Double Header
Time: 11AM
Location: Baseball Fields
Batter up for a day of family fun at Northampton Community College! Join us at the Spartan baseball field for a FREE baseball double header as our NCC Spartans take the field for an action-packed afternoon. Whether you're a baseball fan or just looking for a great way to spend time together, this event is a home run for all ages!
East 40 Garden Guided Tours & Adventure
Time: 12PM to 2PM
Location: East 40 Garden
(Located behind the large parking lots, #7 on the campus map)
Calling all young explorers! Join the staff at the East 40 garden for a fun-filled, hands-on adventure through the East 40 Garden, where nature comes alive. Take a guided tour of this hidden campus gem and complete a special scavenger hunt designed for kids! Your mission? Find a frog in the pod, collect a maple leaf, visit the buzzing bee boxes, and more! It’s the perfect way for families to enjoy the outdoors, learn about nature, and explore together.
10% Off NCC Merch at the Bookstore
Get NCC swag for the whole family! The NCC Bookstore is offering a 10% discount on NCC merchandise during Family Day at the Bethlehem campus. The bookstore will be open from 10:00AM to 2:00PM and is located on the first floor in the Spartan Center.
Need to Unwind? Visit the Sensory & Relaxation Zone
We will be providing a sensory and relaxation zone to just hang out and relax during family day. Folks can stop by College Center 220 for some lo-fi vibes and mindfulness activities. This will be available from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.
