The AAS in Health Sciences degree is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the healthcare system and career options, as well as, provide a solid foundation of knowledge, abilities and skills for those interested in health education or community health worker. Through this program, students will learn how to use an evidence-based approach to public health education and health awareness to improve the community health overall. This degree can foster a career in healthcare immediately upon graduation, or students can continue their education at a four year institution and pursue their BS in health communication, health administration or public health.
