NCC Students Take Home Awards at ADDYs

Three students from Northampton Community College’s Communication Design program were recognized for outstanding creative work at the AAF-GLV American Advertising Awards held this March at Cedar Crest College. This year’s event, themed “Family Game Night,” celebrated excellence in both professional and student advertising.

The American Advertising Awards competition is one of the industry’s most respected, with entries judged anonymously by out-of-market, nationally recognized creative professionals. Each submission is evaluated solely on its own merit, ensuring a fair and highly competitive process across both student and professional categories.

All three winning projects were developed as coursework within NCC’s communication design program under the guidance of Professors Jason Zulli and Sarah Sterner-Hausknecht.

Gold ADDY Award Winners:

Crystal Decker - Package Design, Fresh2Death

Bella Tallarico - Poster Series, Wicked Plant Festival

Silver ADDY Award Winner:

Sofia Curcio - Integrated Campaign, Lizzie Armanto Monster Energy Drink

In addition, NCC communication design alumni Nicholas Kossup was honored in the professional competition, earning a Gold ADDY Award and a Special Judges Choice Award for his portfolio website design—an achievement that highlights the continued success of NCC graduates in the industry.

Several NCC students attended the event, gaining valuable exposure to the region’s creative community. The evening provided opportunities to network with industry professionals and experience firsthand the high caliber of work being produced across the Greater Lehigh Valley and beyond.
