PA TRAC

PA TRAC is a center established to help Pennsylvania students move easily between community colleges and four-year institutions.

PA TRAC's Transfer Credit Framework

The Transfer Credit Framework allows students to transfer up to 30 credits of foundation courses to any of the participating colleges and universities and have those courses count toward graduation. The Framework includes courses in English, public speaking, math, science, art, humanities, history and the behavioral and social sciences.

The Transfer Credit Framework is not intended to represent the full set of general education courses required for a degree but is an excellent advising tool to put you on the transfer track. Participating colleges and universities also offer a variety of courses that are transferable but not listed in the framework.

Although the PA TRAC website is a useful resource for information on the Transfer Credit Framework, please note that certain majors have specific requirements prescribed by external agencies. We encourage you to meet with a Transfer Advisor at Northampton to select appropriate courses as they relate to the major.
