Childcare & Early Learning at NCC

Give your child a strong start at one of Northampton Community College's two Children's Centers: Reibman Hall Children's Center on our Bethlehem Campus and Hannig Family Children's Center on our Pocono Campus.

 

Our Children's Centers are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn.

 

Open to NCC families and the community, we offer full and part time care and year-round educational opportunities for children as young as 6 weeks to kindergarten entry. Beginning Fall 2026, we also offer a new Kindergarten Readiness Program and Before & After School Programming for school-age kids. 

 

Northampton's Children's Centers are licensed by the Department of Human Services (DHS), are rated four-star facilities through the state of Pennsylvania's Keystone STARS program, and also are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

We believe that every child who enters through our center doors is unique and competent, and that the strong foundation laid here through our signature Art as a Way of Learning® and Project-Based Learning (PBL) curriculum will support and create eager, lifelong learners. 

 

As a campus-based lab school, we take pride in educating the learners and teachers of tomorrow. Students of NCC's Early Childhood Education Program gain hands-on experience from our state-of-the-art classrooms and degree-led teachers. 

 

 

About Childcare at NCC

Support for Parenting Students

Northampton Community College supports parenting students through the PA Parent Pathways Initiative:

  • Parent Navigator: Connect for individualized guidance, resource referrals, and help identifying eligibility for scholarships and aid.
  • Child Care Assistance Scholarships: Eligible parenting students may qualify for scholarships that help reduce child care costs at NCC's Children's Centers.

  • Emergency Aid: A dedicated fund helps parenting students manage unexpected financial challenges that could otherwise impact their ability to stay enrolled.

No! Our Children's Centers are open to NCC students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

As a college of the community, we aim to offer the same quality education and affordable pricing in our Children's Center that we provide for our adult students. We also offer special discounted childcare rates for NCC students, faculty, and staff. See our rates for the 2026-2027 academic year here.

NCC's Children's Centers are campus-based lab schools. Our classrooms are staffed by degree-led teachers and serve as a training site for NCC's Early Childhood Education students, offering a more academically grounded approach to early care and education than a typical daycare setting. 

Children ages 6 weeks through kindergarten entry can enroll at Reibman Hall in Bethlehem or Hannig Family Children's Center in Tannersville. 

New for Fall 2026, both Centers also offer school-age programming through our Before & After School Care Program. See all our Scheduling Options here. 

Our new Kindergarten Readiness program is built exactly for this! Children ages 4 1/2 through 5 1/2 can enroll in an extra year of academic and social-emotional preparation here in our Children's Centers, so they start kindergarten confident and ready. Learn more and see all our Scheduling Options here.
